SHADETREE MECHANICS

NY/NJ's Finest Blues/Rock Band

The world is hungry for a great band to relieve them from the doldrums that is currently choking the fun out of the music world. Such a band is Shadetree Mechanics. With 30+ years of experience, Shadetree Mechanics has made a reputation for bringing excitement to every performance.

Named after a ZZ Hill tune, they formed in 1996 where  they became part of the blues scene in New York City and The New Jersey Shore.

Comprised of talented musicians: Guitarist Mark (Redman) Schmalzried, Bassist Elmo, drummer Brad Lewis, Saxophonist Steve Gottlieb, and Keyboardist Fred Lind. Rounding out the lineup is dynamic lead vocalist Mike The Rev Rochelle, originally from Chicago, and now residing in New Jersey. They play a mix of Blues/Rock/R&B that is highly energetic, toe-tapping, and crowd-pleasing.  This is a "must see" band.

Shadetree Mechanics was inducted into the NY/NJ Blues Hall Of Fame and are 3-time champions of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation's International Blues Challenge (IBC), resulting in them representing the Jersey Shore at the IBC in Memphis.

The Blues Hall of Fame Inductees self-produced 2 CDs. The self-titled Shadetree Mechanic and Crazy Mixed Up Blues.

They are currently looking to expand their fanbase, add more live shows, and are writing new material for their next release.
